Minecraft 1.6.1 download

Update Mincraft 1.6.1, also called Horse Update, was released on the 1st of July 2013. Within this patch, the game has added new creatures: horse and donkey, new blocks: the coal block and the carpet, as well as, resource packs, new launcher and more.

General update changes:

The texture packs system was completely replaced by better system - resource packs. Now packs can contain not only texture, but also fonts, language files, sounds and so on. Also, the game menu has been changed , it now contains vague darkening in the background menu. Added new effects for the player associated with the regeneration and health.

Update added to the game, nine new items. Some of them created on the workbench or anvil, while others can be obtained in the treasures or hell fortress. In addition to new items, the game also adds new mobs: horse, donkey and mule. Each of them can be used to move things or as a mount, before that they need to be tamed. Of course, these changes bring to the game a copious amount of gameplay changes. First of all, it is, of course, the opportunity to ride on domesticated animals or, for example, boats. Also, minor changes were made to game balance. For example, glasses of satiety will now be spent faster. The parameters of some objects also have been changed , which is also done for the sake of game balance.

The changes were made and NPC behavior. Now the villagers make sounds, depending on what they are doing. Generation of the game world has been improved: now in the desert will not be generated lakes and rivers will only appear on the edge of the desert. Also there is a chance of chests spawn in the lower world.
