Activation of the "Mark eye" on the PC by default occurs after pressing the Caps Lock button, on consoles-when clicking on the sticks (R3 or RS). Regardless of the platform, you can't slow down the world too often – Arthur Morgan is gradually wasting energy, without which even a single aimed shot remains to dream of.
Facts about the skill in RDR 2 "Accurate eye":
- When activating the skill in the dark, poorly lit areas become lighter, which is why even in critical situations without a kerosene lamp at hand, it is still easy to aim;
- When time slows down, Arthur acts with lightning speed and easily reloads even a 6-charge revolver drum in a matter of seconds. Sometimes instead of selecting targets you should switch to RDR 2 Accurate eye at least for the sake of replenishing ammunition;
- The Myth of infinite placemarks has long been destroyed. You can't set more targets than ammo in the current weapon in your hands. If the limit is exceeded, recharge will automatically start;
- At the moment of activation, incoming damage is completely leveled by invisible armor, regardless of the types of attacks (you don't have to worry about fire or machine-gun bursts around).
- If you use the "Mark eye" while Arthur is armed with throwing consumable items, such as knives, dynamite, or Tomahawk, the skill mechanic will partially change. The character activates a kind of homing effect. Discarded projectiles will start chasing the target and will not disappear until they reach the enemy.
- The Beginnings of Dead Eye appeared in Red Dead Revolver in Rockstar Games in 2005. Even then, developers were experimenting with serving and implementing, and trying to turn the legend of cowboys with revolvers into a classic Hollywood action movie about the Wild West. A little later, the concept got to Red Dead Redemption in a slightly modified form, and later to the second numbered part of the series.
Developing the "Good eye" skill in RDR 2
Every random shootout on the map, some additional tests and key story missions help Arthur Morgan learn the secrets of targeted shooting almost continuously. But the question is-is it worth it to immediately rush to the virtual world for the sake of developing the skill, or is it better to move within the framework of the story, occasionally looking at the surroundings around? To begin to understand the issue is to get acquainted with the proposed developers branch improvements:
- First level. Access to the skill is granted as part of the Old Friends mission. There also begins a short training program dedicated to selecting targets and replenishing energy after continuous cowboy shooting. The starting version of "Marksman's eye" offers to slightly slow down time and place marks on opponents who are in the range of shooting. After selecting targets, Arthur will automatically shoot those who were not lucky enough to get into an ill-fated shootout.
- Second level. The skill is pumped in the second Chapter, immediately after the Pouring Forth Oil Mission ("Let oil spill"). Among the advantages – a little more time to choose goals and access to additional tags placed on opponents.
- Third level. Issued during the Banking mission, the Old American Art ("Banking, old art") after the fourth Chapter. In RDR 2, the third-level Accurate eye allows you to slow down time even after shooting, again highlighting opponents or evaluating the situation for going into hiding.
- Fourth level. The lock is removed by the fifth Chapter, when the Fleeting Joy mission starts. Among the skill updates, it is worth highlighting the visual demonstration of critical points on the enemy's body. The head and heart stand out in a bright flame. The proposed innovation makes it easier to hunt animals, helps to quickly deal with large predators and get a skin of excellent quality.
- The Fifth level. In the sixth Chapter in the mission Goodbye, Dear Friend ("goodbye, dear friend"), Arthur learns the secrets and subtleties of the "Mark eye" and begins to see the lungs and stomach as well. As with the previous level, it will be easier to hunt, especially legendary animals that are tracked for valuable rewards and special resources. And, although the same bear can not be knocked down with a wound in the lung, it is much easier to catch up with a shot predator.
The developers offer a lot of options. The "Mark eye" scale is updated during random events on the map, where you have to exchange shots with local robbers and criminals. An alternative scenario is to pass additional tests marked with the tags "Bandit", "Gambler", and "Marksman". Each new title in the trials will bring from 20 to 15 experience points. The result depends on the complexity of the issued order.
The scale also increases due to pumping items, cooking experiments, head shots at medium and long distances, and skinning the carcasses of predators and herbivores. The bonus given out depends on the current lesson-from 1 to 10 points. In the future, these rewards help you get to each new skill level fully armed, with the maximum filled scale.
How to fill the skill scale
If the question "how to include a good eye in RDR 2" has already been studied, then why not switch to the subtleties associated with filling the scale? It is worth knowing a little – a miracle tonic and chewing tobacco will help slow down the time more often. Both items are easy to find on the corpses of defeated opponents, having searched other people's pockets after another shootout. But it is better to look into the shop to the merchant in advance and prepare for unforeseen situations closer to the second part of the storyline.
Without risk to the budget and life of Arthur Morgan, sleep will help to fill the scale (sleep is worth at least periodically-before sorties on missions or hunting legendary animals: this will give you a chance to turn almost any battle in the right direction and bring the slaughter to victory) or-accurate shooting at enemies in normal mode. If you look at the city at least occasionally, you will not have any problems with contacting the merchant or finding beds.
